When we are aroused there are many physical signs

The moment we are turned on, many physical changes happen to our bodies and minds, from the blush of heat that caresses the body and creeps up your neck, to the intense need felt after a kiss.

Before the clothing comes off, however, we have physical signs of arousal that let our partners know just what we desire most.

1.) Eye Contact

When someone is attracted to you, odds are there’s quite a bit of eye contact. Be sure to also pay attention to the pupils as they dilate when you see something you desire. Eye contact, dilated pupils, and a lingering stare can all be indications of interest in another person. This is also a sign of comfort for some as eye contact is a very intimate act.

2.) Frequent touching

They will find any excuse to make contact with you. Soft touches during conversation or even frequent touching of the face, hair, and clothing are signs they have sex on the mind. It can be an absentminded thing we do when we want to get closer to the other person but can also be a conscious thing we can do to relay interest.

3.) A Flush of Skin

When aroused, the body produces a flush. For many, this flush starts at their upper belly and moves upward. For others, it starts at the chest. This is a response that can be seen at varying degrees of redness and is a great way to gauge whether or not you’re making the right moves!

4.) Tone of Voice

We all change our voices to appeal to the person we are interested in. Studies have shown that all genders will use a lower-pitched voice when speaking to an attractive person they desire. So there is some sex education behind the desire for a ‘husky’ voice.

5.) Licking of Lips

When someone licks their lips it can be a sign that their lips are dry, a side effect of breathing heavily. This is a physiologic response from our brain when we are stimulated by something…or someone. Please ensure your date doesn’t have an empty water glass, nonetheless.

Remember…

In the end, the only true way to know if they are interested is if they tell you, make a move, or reciprocate yours. Always remember that signs can be misconstrued, and consent can be changed and any point in time despite what you’ve seen or heard.
