So fun fact – I hate morning sex. I’m not even a real person before 10am and my boyfriend gets up for work anywhere from 4am to 6am and he’s up at the ass crack of dawn on Sunday’s (his only day off.) and let me tell you, there have been many Sunday’s where I was bribed with pancakes from my favorite pancake house for morning sex.

I.Hate. It.

Well, despite my loathing for it, apparently there are some benefits to having morning sex.

1.) Supposedly, it can boost your mood (Whatever, I’m still a troll in the morning, dick or no dick.). When you orgasm, you release a chemical called Oxytocin. Oxytocin is proven to make you feel a stronger connection with your partner that can last throughout the day. The difference is, you actually have the day to soak in these chemicals and activity think about it vs. night sex and falling asleep right after.

2.) With morning sex, you don’t have the excuse of being “too tired” from your daily activities.

3.) It’ll actually wake you up like a shower might. Some say it’s better than coffee (liars.)

4.) It’s sexy to see your partner in the daylight so if you like fucking with the lights on, this might be a good one for you!

5.) When your coworker asks how your morning has been, you can piss them off with a “Great! I started my day with a mind shattering orgasm.”

Real health benefits

1.) According to actual sex research scientists, morning sex can help boost your immune system because it aids in certain antibodies that fight infection.

2.) Are you preggo and have a nasty case of morning sickness? Apparently swallowing cum will stop morning sickness in its tracks. I’m not bullshitting you, there’s a study on it. (I’ll stick to peppermint tea, thank you very much.)

3.) I wouldn’t really consider it a “health benefit” but it’s proven that men last longer in the morning because this is when testosterone is at its highest levels. So if you have a premature ejaculator on your hands, give morning sex a go!

4.) You will actually burn as many calories as a thirty minute light jog, science has provened you can repalce your morning workout with morning sex and it will be just as effective. How’s that for cardio?

5.) Like males, female hormone levels are highest in the morning after you’ve slept and recharged.

6.) Sex in general releases endorphins which are pain-relieving chemicals. Ever have your lady tell you she can’t have sex because of a headache? Go down on her, make her cum and you might hear her sing a different tune. I’m not even being a sarcastic shit either. Because of my shoulder problems, I get brutal tension headaches. My boyfriend started going down on me and within twenty minutes of an orgasm, my head is either gone or way better than it was before. Skip the excedrin and beg for the tongue! You’ll thank me later.

Helpful hints for morning sex

1.) Is your partner like me and hates morning sex? According to my research, foreplay can help get your partner there. Stimulation of the erogenous zones (think nipples, ears, back of the neck) is not only relaxing but can help get your partner nice and horny. It’ll slowly wake them up, start putting them in a better mood and hopefully start getting them in THE mood. Oral was also strongly suggested but gentle touches and kisses go a long way.

2.) Don’t hit the snooze button. Studies show that going back to better after waking up the first time can actually make you more tired. Use that wake up time to get busy with your partner.

3.) Using bad breath as an excuse? Who. Cares. If you’re that worried about it, get down and dirty in doggy or bend your partner over the side of the bed. Or of that’s too rough for morning sex, lay your partner on their side and do it from behind. Reverse cowgirl anyone?

The further I got into this blog, the more appealing morning sex started to become but I’m still not convinced. I think I’ll stick to being a night dweller 😉
