One thing we haven’t touched on is the art of vagina masturbation. Here’s the beginner’s guide to get you started.

First and foremost, if you’re new to this, I suggest you start off when you’re alone. Granted, the risk of being caught can be a turn on for some, but it isn’t for everyone and the potential of being caught can possibly stress you out to the point you don’t achieve an orgasm. And that defeats the whole purpose, now doesn’t it?

Turn off distractions

like TV/Phone/Laptop/etc and focus on the things that relax you and bring you peace – maybe that’s a warm shower with lavender soap or a nice soak in the bath with epsom salt, or maybe it really is just getting cozy in your bed and letting your hand explore your body. No one knows your body better than you do and masturbation is a great way to learn more about it and more about what turns you on and really gets you there. Whether that’s by a fantasy you’ve cooked up in your head on turning on some porn, whatever helps you get to that release.

When I say explore your body, I really mean explore your body.

Don’t just slip a hand in your panties and go to town, start with gentle caresses, start at your neck, run your fingertips across your skin, dip down lower and explore your breasts, your stomach, your thighs, build the anticipation to what you want the most. Then move your hand to your most intimate area and tease, glide a finger along your slit before diving in and giving that sensitive clit a stroke. Don’t be afraid to use two hands and don’t be afraid to slip those finger lower and dive in.

Understand that that way might take some more effort and work than clitoral stimulation to reach an orgasm. You should also explore with depth and pressure, don’t just lay back, use pressure from your body to help by doing things like pressing your thighs together, arching your hips to meet your hand, etc.

Know your anatomy and if you don’t check out my anatomy blog coming out in a few days to get a good grasp on it!

This a brief overview on how to masturbate with clitoral stimulation but understand there are SO many different ways (fingering, clitoral stimulation, toy play (dildos & vibrators)) and there are plenty of guides out there to show you more advanced techniques for masturbation. You just need to figure out what works best for you.

To start

start with rubbing and stroking your clit. Play with the amount of pressure and the area and adjust to what works for you, maybe long strokes, maybe slow circles gentle circles or maybe rough, fast circles. Let our body tell you what works and don’t be afraid to dive into your mind and think about things that please you. Eventually when you get more advanced, you might even get yourself to squirt using your fingers as well through g-spot stimulation.

Be careful to avoid putting too much pressure on yourself. Like I mentioned above, being worried about someone walking in on you can prevent an orgasm but so can thinking too much. Enjoy what you’re doing, enjoy the slow building burn until you eventually reach an orgasm but don’t put all of your focus onto that. Just let it happen.

A-spot stimulation and vibrators –

once you’re more comfortable with masturbating and you start to add in toys (if you’re okay with that, not everyone is and that’s okay!) know that there are plenty to choose from! Definitely do some exploring and read some reviews, what might work for someone, maybe not work for you. Dildos will reach you A-spot, which your fingers can’t but there are multiple lengths, girths, and firmnesses to different dildos. Vibrators can also help and again, there are different types (Hitachi’s to bullets to mini vibes.) some have one speed, some have ten, some are waterproof, some aren’t. You need to find what works best for you!

The most important thing to remember is enjoy this. Masturbation should NOT cause you additional stress!
