Cam Site Breakdown
TAWNEY SEREN
Cammer with 6 years of experience with an upcoming novel, Twisted Tales.

I have been a cam model for almost seven years, now.

During that time, I jumped to over 7 different adult performing sites. Here’s my breakdown of the top three. I’ll highlight the percentage of payout, rules, and more!

Keep in mind there are other cam sites but currently these are the ones I am most familiar with. Be sure to do your research before signing up for a site and performing!

1.) Chaturbate

This site is my home base. By that, I mean, it’s the site that I am always on. Whether I am juggling several others or not completely depends on the traffic on this site.

Like ALL these other sites, Chaturbate prohibits any underage or non authorized performers from being viewed. Each performer must sign and submit the proper paperwork to ensure no unauthorized people are on cam. Chaturbate also does not allow blood, pee, scat, sleeping, beastiality, animal shaped toys or large toys (so keep those Bad Dragons away), and also prohibit the advertising of sites in which you can stream. So many video selling sites are fine to advertise, along with your Amazon wishlist and email but do NOT link to other sites you work for or to Manyvids (as of August, 2018 – they began allowing streaming on their platform).

The Platform

Chaturbate takes 40-50% of token percentage depending on the token package purchase done by the user. This seems to be an average percentage and leaves the model with .5 cents per token. They provide both daily cashout/pay as well as direct deposit, check, and more.

Streaming is incredibly easy and the apps are not only simple to use but fun to change! Chaturbate allows for many different games and apps to be set in place, some at the same time! You can also broadcast through OBS, if needed.

I find that Chaturbate responds quickly to issues and tries to help as best they can. Like many other sites, there’s always things to complain about or issues that will arise but all in all, Chaturbate remains my home base and gives me the most traffic.

Chaturbate ALSO TAKES DOWN DMCA REQUESTS! You no longer have to provide all your personal information to deal with unwanted recorded and posted videos of you. Simply send the links to support on CB and they will take care of the rest.

2.) Myfreecams

This site is 50/50 for me. On one hand, they provide as much traffic as Chaturbate (which is wonderous), cater and provide fantastic opportunities for their models to meet and attend fun events together, give a 50-60% payout on tokens (depending on the token package bought by user), and have an easy to understand and use platform.

On the other hand? That damn camscore.

MFC has a camscore for each model which solely depends on how many tokens you earn during the time you are online. If you are on for hours without a tip? That cam score will change. Make a ton of tokens? It will push you up and ensure more viewers can see you. This is an interesting calculation for models but can often times create an unnecessary competition between ladies that is not as obvious on other platforms.

MFC has a few other rules (besides the obvious ones that run site to site). You are NOT allowed to advertise other video selling platforms at all BUT they do provide their own (MFCshare). You are also allowed to drink on MFC but not appear intoxicated.

3.) Camsoda

Camsoda for me, personally, is not a high traffic site. That being said, their bubbly and adorable layout has me coming back for more. The admin also enjoy hanging out in rooms and assisting whenever needed so it’s incredibly easy to ask for help when you’re lost. You can sell videos, snapchat, and provide links. They also have no issue with double streaming as long as those links aren’t on your bio or sent to users in an attempt to move them to the other site.

Camsoda also has tons of competitions and themed contests they provide to give you a chance to appeal to more viewers and win some extra swag or money! It’s a fun addition to camming that really seems to push creativity with models. Overall, this is a fun site and you do get 50-55 cents per each token. KEEP IN MIND, this is a larger percentage than other sites due to the low prices for tokens on Camsoda.

I hope you find your home in cam modeling and a site that helps and cares for you.
