The Magic Wand has been my favorite toy for six years running…

So, when I heard they would be coming out with a Magic Wand Plus, I just about wiggled in my chair. Was it truly the toy that would put my old favorite to rest?

A proper burial

When I received the Magic Wand Plus, it was nestled in the same cardboard box the previous model had been in. There seemed to be nothing different about the packaging for this toy, but we all know the toys speak for themselves. I pulled the Magic Wand Plus out and immediately saw the differences. Instead of the pebbled design on the head of the previous Magic Wand, this head was smooth and without textural changes, along the handle of the toy, the controls were covered in silicone, erasing the previous issues with getting ‘gunk’ in the deep speed controls. The Magic Wand Plus also has a removeable plug cord, providing easy storage for the long cord, and a locking mechanism to ensure the cord does not pop out during play. As someone who frequently had to stop play to readjust the cord, this was a huge plus for me right away.

So I got to work. Comfortably playing with this toy as if it were the previous Magic Wand, I immediately tried the lowest setting, which was comparible to the lowest on the older Magic Wand, as well, although the smooth head of the toy was much more pleasant, not leaving behind a ‘raw’ feel on my skin, but instead covering the area in a soft and rumbly vibration that was quite a bit more gentle than I had experienced before with such a powerful vibrator. With four speeds total in contrast to the two on the previous toy, I found that the third setting was MORE powerful than the highest setting on the Magic Wand, and the fourth was almost unbearably powerful. Already, this toy gave my old Magic Wand a proper burial, while leaving the toy open to higher speeds (if I am ever able to use them to their full potential!). Also, this toy made for a WONDERFUL massager for all over my body and my partner’s. The Magic Wand is a toy I’ve frequently used with my partner in bed, and I will continue to do so with this new design, as the vibration levels can be both massaging, and demanding like we enjoy.
