Bed Restraints… With a twist!

I had somehow missed being able to try The Original from Sportsheets, a bed restraints system with a fantastic twist. Elated to give it a try, we dove in and found this new take on the under the bed restraint system… Unique and positively delightful!

Fully Adjustable and Versatile

When I unpackaged The Original I was so overjoyed to not be wading through a variety of different straps and buckles (like most other bed restraint systems I’ve tried). There were only a few pieces and it was incredibly easy to put it together. The Original comes with a soft, washable blanket that secures to the top of your bed. It also has the four cuff holders that adhere to the sheet, and four cuffs.

I first had to struggle with getting the blanket on my bed in the first place. I have a California king and it was mentioned on the site that they would fit. It ended up fitting! There was a tiny bit of a stretch involved. Thankfully the blanket was able to handle it and tucked under the ends of the mattress with ease to keep it in place.

(Spoiler alert, I had the smaller size! I still made it work! But be sure to read the two different sizes and choose the one you need!)

Perfect for Beginners and Seasoned Players

The four cuffs that adhere to the washable blanket allow you to position yourself anywhere you’d like and in any position. This allowed for a massive amount of exploration between partners that is not able to be achieved with most other bondage gear I’ve tried! I was convinced I would be able to rip myself free but was incredibly surprised by how powerful the cuffs adhered to the blanket (even after a lot of washes).

The handcuffs connect to the secured cuffs and are fully adjustable. Comfortable and very simple, I thought they were perfect for beginners. That being said, you are easily able to use any other Sportsheets cuffs that you like and I appreciated the ability to change them out for your favorite pair if you have one.

Overall, I thought this was an incredible way to replace the under the bed restraints and much easier to put on. I was enamored and so happy to find something that was even easier to travel with. 10/10 would recommend picking this up to spice up (and simplify) your bedroom fun!
