I think I may have found a new religion…

Let me start out by saying before the Hitachi Magic Wand, I’ve been working with a ‘Rocket pleasure kit’ with four changeable heads. Small, strong, but only one setting.

Whatever, it’s worked for solo play for the time I’ve had it and it was free with a different toy I had purchased but later broke (cheapo toy that I bought long before I met Tawney and learned more about toys). Before that, I used various bullets. Some had adjustable speeds, some didn’t. Needless to say, my toys of choice have been fairly boring.

While I’m talking about that, real quick, I really want to encourage you guys to take the time to read about body safe material and quality toys. It is really, really important to make sure you’re spending the extra money on toys that are QUALITY. Seriously, for your health, save and spend the extra.

After asking Tawney about them, I finally picked up a Hitachi magic wand.

I ordered this bad boy on Wednesday, it arrived Friday. Right of the rip, that pleased me. I’m a sucker for fast shipping. I immediately bolted upstairs, ripped this sucker out of the package and did the white girl version of the Carlton dance. Due to being away for the weekend, I wasn’t able to play my new toy for a few days which built the excitement of using it over three long, long days.

Right off the bat, one this I noticed it was a bit bigger than what I’m used to, both the head and the wand itself, so it was a bit awkward getting used to at first. Okay, it was a lot larger than what I was used to. That was pretty much one of two “negative” things I have to say about the Hitachi and it’s not even negative, it just took me a little bit to get used to it but once I did, I was incredibly happy with this.

From there, it only got better.

Couple things I really enjoyed

The length of the cord plus the add on of the speed controller (the shibari velocity) – I have a 10 x 10 bedroom, not a lot of plugs in there so I liked have a longer cord with plenty of room to work with. With the speed controller, I had about 9ft of cord to work with.
The various strength/speed options (I’m talking about with the Shibari velocity add on). I LOVED this, it gave me more wiggle room to play with speeds than what I’m used to. Only having one speed is pretty obnoxious and for me, it doesn’t always work. This gave me the ability to play around and find the perfect speed/strength and when I did? Oy. Due to adjusting to the awkwardness of the size of me, that probably took about 15ish minutes.
The slight flex to the head. Really liked this, it gave me a little bit of play when moving it around/grinding against it. Quite different from a solid bullet or other vibrators like it. I really liked this.
The orgasm that stemmed from it. Wow. Just wow. Once I figured out the best speed, I was rocked in under five minutes. Basically record breaking for me. It’s typically hard to get me to orgasm but this thing lives up to it’s magic wand name. This toy is magical. So magical that twenty minutes later, I went for round two with even better results. Even when I’m home alone, I’m kind of on the quieter side and this had me almost as loud as the toy itself was.

It’s definitely not one I can use with anyone aside from my partner in the house (we live with other people) because it is quite loud. My other one I can occasionally get away with, the heavy comforter tends to muffle the noise enough but not a chance with this one. Thankfully though, that totally is far from a deal breaker for me. I don’t mind loud if I’m alone or with my partner. That said, if you live with other people, living in a dorm, whatever the case may be and you’re looking for something more discreet, that is -not- this toy.

So far, I’ve only used it on myself and haven’t had a chance to let my partner use it on me because it’s far and few between that we ever have a day to ourselves where the house is empty. That said, I would absolutely recommend this. It was definitely a step up from what I’m used to but in such a fabulous, fabulous way.

Also something to note, I ONLY used this for clitoral stimulation. I’ve read about attachments for it but an internal toy wasn’t really what I was going for with this purchase.

I also liked how easy the clean up was. Another thing to note, and there is a warning about this in the booklet (I know, I actually read it…) but it did get a little warm around the 20 minute mark so be cautious of how long you use it for.

I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who was looking for something like it. It packs an impressive punch and I can’t wait to use it again. All and all, this gets a 9.5 out of 10 stars from me. …and a Gods bless Taweny for introducing it to me.
